Philip confessed Jesus as Lord and was reborn on May 7, 2000. Dutch comes from a musical family.  He began playing on the church instruments in his early childhood.  " Phil later joined a band and played professionally while in High School. He attended Berkley College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts, graduating in 1979.

Dutch has been an integral part of the Boston music scene for three decades, appearing with many artist while performing Rhythm and Blues, Soul, Jazz, Rock, Country and Gospel. Notable appearances include: Arosa, Switzerland with New York Jazz vocalist Pucci Jhones.Chicago, Denver, and greater New England dates with legendary vocalist Shirley Lewis.Bob The Chef restaurant, Boston Blues festival, South Central Mass Choir – 2000 to Present.
